New Horizons; Korean Aerospace Industries Unveil First Attack Helicopter Prototype

Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) has publicly unveiled the first prototype of a new Light Attack Helicopter design at its headquarters in Sacheon - representing the very first time the East Asian state has attempted to manufacture such an advanced combat aircraft. While South Korea’s defence sector has surpassed major rivals in many key fields - most notably the quality of its destroyers with the Sejong the Great Class, battle tanks with the K2 Black Panther and trainer jets with the T-50, its has never before developed such complex combat aircraft. It remains a considerably possibility that, following the devilment of a light helicopter, the country will go on to develop a heavier platform comparable to the American Apache.
